Presented earlier that the Prior of St Savior by Swaton has certain tenements in perpetual alms for which it is held annually to expend 100s to repair and sustain a causeway and bridge called Holland Bridge that runs from the house of St Savior to Donington in Holland. The obligation was very precise and based on a settlement of 8 Edward III. The prior maintained that they were only obliged to spend 100s if 100s was necessary, so that he could pay less.
