Speech of the Lord Keeper in the Star Chamber before the Council and others, touching the rumors circulated by the bringing in of seditious books, to the derogation and dishonour of Almighty God, and the established religion. Is no advocate for bloody laws; but "it is better for a man to be twice whipped than once hanged."
