The Queens matie vnderstandeth/yng\ that wher as of late by her proclamation among of other thinges. the peace and Coyne of golde called the Pistolet was valued and made currant at v.sh xd, and aboue. Since that tyme dyuerce of her Subiectes of ignorance haue tene and be daily muche deceauid taking and receauing certain /other\ peaces of golde of strange Coynes as and in the steade of pistolletes for v.sh xd, which in deede wear never knowen taken wer /nor\ vsed for pistoletes. nor doo holde in value so muche as the very pistoletes doo, but be rather under the value therof., wherby not onely the Subiectes of this Realm but also all othere /persons in this realme\ receauing the same in /that vallue\ this Realme, are deceauid and herin susteyne euident losse. And therfore her matie dothe by this proclamation /for\ notifie to all manner her Subiectes that by the name of pistoletes nowe shalbe Currant /within hir dominions\ but only iiij seuerall peeces and Coynes heerafter pourtrayted and Stamped, wherof /that is to saye\ the first and second beingof the king of Spaynes /coyne\, the thirde of Vennize, & the fourthe of Florance with seuerall peeces /of gold being not [.... fynd] \ her matie dothe only allowe to be Currant as pistoletes, and at the value of vs xd. and not aboue. And for that many persons haue receauid of late tyme diuers other strange Coynes vpon ignorance /in pistoletes\ Her matie is pleased to gyve to euery parson that shall bring any of the same into her myntes at London the Juste value that the same shall holde in golde. / .
