  • STAC 5/N1/19 - Edward Noye of Mawgan in co Cornwall gent. leased a tenament and a hundred acres of land in the parish of St Agnes. Thomas Tonkin confederated with Robert Tonkin John Daniell, Pawle Davye, William Humfreye, Robert Merchaunte, William Peran, George Martin, Roger Marke, William Roger, alias Bolster, Raphe summerye, Peter Smith alis Webb Phillip White, alias Lanyon, and Godfrey Richard with divers others to the number of xvjten persons or thereabouts. Ejected the household and burnt gates and hedges. The said John Daniell a man not well affected in religion but vehemently suspected to lean to the religion used in the Church of Rome, from which City it is credibly reported in your Majesty's said County of Cornwall that he the said Daniell made very late return.
