  • STAC 5/C36/29 et al - Case Book BL Harley MS 2143 fo. 17v. The matter ordered to be taken and confessed if the defendant did not answer within his time. George Chewme et al, plaintiffs; Edward Fisher, a defendant. The court gave the defendant a senight [week] to answer the interrogatories peremptorily or otherwise the matters to be adjudged and confessed against him and ordered also that the plaintiff might examine any witnesses in the meantime for his better purgation of the forgery, by commission or otherwise.
