Marry, to say the treuth, the Practises off owr Ennemyes, who hes driven moche Tyme with us in onfrutefull Communication, hes kept me continually in soche a Fear, as having no comfortable Mater to wryte onto yow, I wes rather content to write nothing at all. Now praysed be God, the Mater is lyke to fall better out, that I hope I shall shortly have some good Newes to write. We ar already in a good forewardnes: Now quhen all Comunication is dissolved, owr Newtrals begyn to cum in a paas. At my Lord St. Jhonis commyng, ye shall be more amply informed off all Things, for I think Mr. Mailvin shall kepe him Cumpany. Other Things I refar to Mr. Kylligrew his Report: And so wish yow well to fare. From the Camp befor Leythe, 28 Day of Aprill, 1560. Yours at Commandment to my Lyves end,
