SIR,

I HAVE no other Matter, but to address by your meanes a Lettre to the Quene's Majesty from my Lord of Norfolk, included in myne, with a Lettre of my owne to hir Majesty, declaring onely how farr Mr. Wotton be come on this waye. This Night we meane with God's Leave to lodg at Doncaster, and trust to lye on Fryday at Newcastle. Whyther the rayney Wether contynew there, or noo, I know not, but here our trooble is Dust; and if there be any lack it is of Rayne, and yet no desire of it. I perceyve grete lack hereawey of a Bisshopp of York. I thynk if yow wold move hir Majesty, she wold pass the Congee d'Eslyer for Dr. Maye; faerly the sooner it be doone the better. If any Lettres come from Mr. Gresham and Mr. Throkmarton directed to me, after that the Contents have answered the Queen's Majestie's Service there, I beseche yow they may be sent downe to me, that I maye lerne how Thyngs there pass. And so I take my leave of yow, Prayeng yow, that I maye be humbly recommended to my Lord Marquis, my Lord of Pembrooke, my Lord Chamberlain, and Mr. Tresoror; and lett one of my Men repayre with Knowledg to my Wiffe of my Helth.
