SIR,

YOW shall understand by Mr. Treasuror's Lettres att this Tyme, whatt is doon for the spedye sending of Money unto yow, which is here promised to be a gretter Summe then yow required by your Lettre. In your last Pacquett, yow wrot of a Lettar from yow and Mr. Wottoon to my Lords of the Counsayle, but ther was neuer such brought hithar. TheAdvertisments, lately sent hithar from Mr. Tbrockmorton, and signisyed to yow by the last Despetche, be soundry Wayes sythens confirmed, both of the contynuance, or rather increasse of the inward Discord, and Division, and of ther Unredynes: Wheruppon it is agreed here that allmost two thousand Men, which by the Queen's Majestie's Lettres war commandyd to be at Portsmoth the 28th of this Moneth, be now stayid, to remain in full redynes, uppon one Howres warning to be given them herafter; and this Order is taken both for the sparing of the Queen's Majestie's Charges of Victualls and Money, and shall also be good for the Cowntreys, this same Tyme. Mr. Gressham hath prolonged the Payments in Flawnders for six Monthes, and sueth out for Licence to come into England, uppon the Delivery of the Bonds, which bee now all redye sealed to be sent to hym. All Mens Expectations here and abrode dependeth uppon your Doings: which I pray God may be suche, as with the Queen's Majestie's Honor may establish us quietnes.
