Hey guys, time for the last meeting of the semester!!! Boy, do we have some great news for y'all!!! Come and be informed of any upcoming events. Meet and mingle with new and old members alike. Again, we will be meeting in the Bluebonnet Room @ the UC at 4 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Come and earn member points to go towards a netbook at the end of the year!!!

Don't forget about VSA during the break...Remember we WILL have dance practice sparingly throughout the break so we can put a great VSA Extravaganza for YOU!!! GET INVOLVED!!! BE ACTIVE!!! We will keep y'all on tap for practice dates, so check those inboxes (FB and email) and consistantly check the website for up to the week updates!!!

Thanksgiving Meal Help Out

*VSA will be serving up some meals this week, so come help out if you're bored or need some community hours!*

Toys for Tots
Where: Alief Community Center
When: December 12, 2009
Time: TBA
*Collecting toys up until this date to give to the kids on that date. For those of you who are feeling generous, you can drop off new toys in the VSA office in the box labeled "Toys for Tots" *

AO DAI MODELS NEEDED!!!

If you think you love having your picture taken and love to pose (and don't lie to yourself, please) We would like to see you!!! We are looking for girls to model in pretty Ao Dai. Unfortunately, the Ao Dai are limited, so we are asking you girls to send us your reply ASAP, 1st come, 1st serve. If you're in, you will get to model them, have your picture professionally done, and of course, makeup and hair done for the event, and the photo shoots! If you need more details, feel free to talk to our committee, (attending the next general meeting helps, too!!!)

UNITY 2009 was a SUCCESS!!! Thank you to ALL members that came out to support, hope to see you all at our other events!! Congratulations to ALL performers for putting on such a good show!!! For those of you that missed out, then luckily we have footage of the RAW performance on Youtube, we will have a FINAL release soon, but for now watch the unedited version.

The Project Ike Program is designed to provide help, support, and advocacy for survivors as they recover from the disaster. VCSA Case Managers work in partnership with hurricane survivors to assess their disaster-related needs, develop long-term recovery plans, and connect survivors to available resources to meet their disaster-related needs.
