College of Education Staff Member dies

Jerry Douglas Price, long-time University of Houston staff member and alumnus, recently died after a lengthy illness.

Price was director of technology services at the College of Education. He had worked for the college for 17 years, beginning as a student. He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 1991 and a master’s degree in instructional technology in 1998 from UH.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughter, Lily; his mother, Brenda Herman; and numerous relatives. Contributions may be made to an endowed scholarship in Price’s name at the college. For more information on the scholarship, call Daintee Jones at 713-743-8653.
