Houston-
Engineers planning to take the state exam this April in preparation for obtaining their professional licenses can enroll in a review course offered by the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston.

This semester, the Cullen College of Engineering offers the review course to prepare engineers for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination. Registration deadline for the course is Wednesday, Jan. 24.

The FE review course will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from Feb. 8 through April 5. Each of the 15 two-hour sessions is held from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m.

A registration form, fee schedule and additional information are available on the Internet at http://www.egr.uh.edu/ContEd/ or by contacting Stella Vasquez, UH Cullen College of Engineering, at 713-743-4714 or svasquez@uh.edu. Spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The non-credit review course will present material typical of the test and will be taught by faculty. Classes will be conducted at the UH campus.

The FE exam is the first step an engineering student or graduate must take to become a professional engineer. Licensing as a professional engineer protects the public by ensuring that engineers have met certain standards of competency in education.
