Emeritus Professor Bryan Dies

William W. Bryan Jr., 78, assistant professor of communication, emeritus, died recently at his Lubbock residence. He was a professor from 1975 to 1990.

Prior to his career at UH, Bryan worked as a producer and/or director for several musical programs, including “Patchwork Family” and “American Musical Theatre.” He also received a Best Director Emmy Award for “The Learning Experience.”

Bryan is survived by his brother, Robert H. Bryan, and two nephews. The family requests that contributions be made to the UH Scholarship Fund in memory of William W. Bryan Sr. and Georgia H. Bryan, c/o William W. Bryan Jr.
