Shirley Mitchell
MITCHELL WROTE THE BOOK ON CUSTOMER SERVICE
That’s the sentiment echoed by her advocates, one of whom said Mitchell “literally wrote the book” on supporting the College of Pharmacy’s clinical sciences and administration department as its business administrator.
Mitchell’s accomplishments include creating the college’s original policy and procedures manual for administrative staff.
“When her mother died, Shirley came in to take care of the office before going to the funeral,” a supporter wrote. “Because of all her responsibilities, Shirley routinely works after hours, and her thoughts are never far from the college, even on her days off.”
Award recipients receive a framed certificate and a $1,000 check.
