MCGHEE INSPIRES INNOVATION IN THE CLASSROOM

For the past seven years, Fred McGhee has been the director at the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics business operations, and the department hasn’t been the same since.

Through him the college has implemented a new, more efficient centralized data system (Vnet) developed to enhance teaching, research and administration. Teachers can now use 3-D modeling, video lectures and online course management.

“Fred McGhee leads through courage, optimism, initiative and the ability to develop clear visions of the future,” one colleague wrote in a letter of recommendation. “He continually strives to improve our business processes and systems without fear of setbacks or adversity.”

Award recipients receive a framed certificate and a $1,000 check.
