MARLIN STACKS EFFICENCY ON TOP OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE
Robert O. Marlin IV was reared a University of Houston Cougar.
The senior library specialist spent many years working with his father
at what was called the University Center barbershop. In 1996, the UH
alumnus began his campus employment.
Now, UH is honoring Marlin with a Staff Excellence Award for his
distinguished service at the M.D. Anderson Library Special Collections.
Marlin’s assignments include planning and coordinating schedules and
processing assignments of staff, interns and students; training
undergraduate students; processing archival collections; overseeing the
unit’s daily operations; and preparing reports on unit activities.
“Bobby typifies so many of our UH staff who form the foundation upon
which this university stands,” wrote Dana Rooks, library dean, in a
letter of support.
Award recipients receive a certificate and a $1,000 check.
