BOTT’S ADVISING LEADS TO CHEMISTRY BOOM
Off campus, he is known for his unwavering support for the chemistry profession, serving as a national councilor for the American Chemical Society. He also formed student teams to visit local K-12 schools to give chemistry shows, provide help with science fairs and offer technical assistance to teachers.
Bott’s achievements have been recognized with the 2008 Provost Faculty Advising Award, which includes a plaque and a $1,000 stipend.
