Regina Nixon
STAFF EXCELLENCE AWARD
NIXON’S DEDICATION EARNS
HER A STAFF EXCELLENCE AWARD
For more than
15 years, Regina Nixon has demonstrated a “commitment
to professional growth by applying herself,” according
to one of her supporters.
That commitment has helped her climb the university career
ladder from office assistant 2 and office manager to her current
position as office supervisor in Residential Life and Housing.
Her duties include monitoring departmental travel expenses and
P-cards, handling conference billing, assisting the associate
director and overseeing the mail room.
One of Nixon’s major accomplishments has been to increase
the collection of funds from summer conferences to 100 percent,
which significantly affected the department’s bottom line,
her nominator wrote.
Award recipients receive a framed certificate and a $1,000 check.
