JUBERT SCORES HIGH MARKS

Excellence has marked Karen Jubert’s university career since 2002, when she began her employment on campus as a senior career counselor.

Jubert is described as positive, enthusiastic and reliable by her nominator, who wrote, “Karen usually receives an average of 4.8 out of 5 points” in student satisfaction surveys.

Her nomination form also states, “She regularly seeks out opportunities to promote University Career Services across campus and within the Houston community—student outreach and across-campus collaboration are her middle names.”

The department’s student outreach efforts have increased by 53 percent since 2007 because of “her direct influence,” according to her nominator.

Award recipients receive a framed certificate and a $1,000 check.
