Outstanding Staff Recognized With Awards

	Charles E.Henry Charles F. McElhiney Distinguished Service Award Recipient “It’s always better to effect positive changes through participation than it is through observation,” Henry said. “I believe in doing my part to help make changes at UH that will benefit everyone.” Read the story
	Marybeth Brantley Staff Excellence Award Recipient “It’s a nice feeling to be recognized for what I do, but I’m part of a team,” said Brantley, University of Houston’s Faculty Senate staff associate. “I share my success with the other half of the Faculty Senate staff, Brenda Jones.” Read the story
	Rebekah Connally George Magner Undergraduate Academic Advising Award Recipient In a letter of support, one student wrote that Connally “is part of what makes the University of Houston an exemplary institution of learning.” Read the story
	Tung Manh Ho Staff Excellence Award Recipient “I don’t know if it comes from his experiences as an engineering officer on the battlefields of Vietnam or just plain stubbornness, but Tom refuses to believe that things cannot be fixed,” said Danny L. 	Anna "Cuc" Nguyen Staff Excellence Award Recipient “Mrs. Nguyen was awarded a College Service Award several years ago that included a $50 prize,” Holdeman said. “Instead of keeping the money, she opted to return the funds to help support indigent care. This is one of the many acts of kindness she has shown to her colleagues and our patients over the years.” Read the story
