CHUCK SHOMPER ASSUMES NEW ROLE
University of Houston Provost Jerald
W. Strickland has announced that Chuck Shomper, former associate
vice president for information technology and chief information
officer, has been named an associate vice president in academic
and faculty affairs.
In this new position, he will focus
on projects that serve UH and the greater Houston community. He
will work on current initiatives under way with the Houston Executive
CIO Summit and the Greater Houston Partnership.
UH President Jay Gogue said he is
pleased that Shomper will be providing his talent and leadership
to these important outreach efforts.
