The University of Houston’s Lady Cougars basketball team suffered a 65-43 loss to Boston College in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, March 20. The team was the tournament’s number 10 seed, with a 21-8 overall record.

Last year, the team had entered the NCAA tournament as a number three seed and as Conference USA champions. In the second round, UH fell, 56-52, to University of California-Santa Barbara, but it was the first time in school history that the women’s basketball team advanced past the first round in the NCAA Tournament.
