FACULTY AND STAFF GIVE TO SECC
The second week of the University of Houston's State
Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) concluded Friday, Nov. 12, with
$36,832 received through payroll deductions and one-time gifts.
This amount represents participation from 4.3 percent of UH’s
fulltime, benefits-eligible staff and faculty.
"I'm very happy with the contributions we
received in these first two weeks, and I want to thank everyone
who contributed," said UH SECC chair John Rudley, vice president
for administration and finance. "Our job in these final days
is to reach out to those who have not turned in their paperwork
and to those who are still deciding if they want to take part in
this important community outreach."
Last year, the university raised $143,632 with nearly
28.5 percent participation. Additional information about the SECC
at UH is on the Web page at http://www.uh.edu/media/secc/.
