LAST DAY FOR CRWC’S
FREE TRIAL PERIOD NEARS
Faculty and staff members have
until Friday, Sept. 3, to take advantage of the free trial period
at the University of Houston Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
“We want to introduce new faculty and staff
to the recreation center in the hopes that they enjoy it and join,”
said Kathleen Anzivino, director of campus recreation.
Anzivino said the center’s comprehensive offerings
and centralized facilities attract many new members. From aerobics
classes to basketball to rock climbing, the center offers something
for everyone.
“The swimming facilities, indoor track, fitness
center, basketball courts, aerobic classes and other programs are
all located in one building,” Anzivino said. “This adds
a level of convenience for our members.”
During the trial period, all facilities and fitness
programs are free to use, except the climbing wall, which costs
$5. The CRWC also offers short-term day care for members’
children.
“For the activities and resources available,
the membership prices are very reasonable,” Anzivino said.
“We are retaining our current members and our new memberships
continue to grow.”
