AT YOUR SERVICE; A FREE WORKSHOP
FOR THE UH CAMPUS COMMUNITY
The first step to providing
great customer service may begin with a simple question —
how may I help you — but it ends with satisfied students,
faculty and staff.
And, that’s the goal of “Outstanding
Customer Service,” a free workshop that will be held from
2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 11 in University of Houston Science Center’s
Room 102.
“The key to outstanding customer service is
providing accurate information, as well as being prompt and courteous
in your reply,” said Monica Baisden, training coordinator
in the human resources department, which is sponsoring the workshop.
At the seminar, Baisden will discuss the fundamentals
of customer service, ways to improve customer service skills and
telephone and electronic mail etiquette.
“Customer service is all about attitude, and
the way you present yourself to your customer,” she said.
“First impressions are always important, especially for higher
education institutions such as the University of Houston.”
