We're the University of Houston chapter Society of Automotive Engineers; though a fledgeling organization we may be, we are committed to growth and excellence. Our members come from a myriad of disciplines- we are an amalgamation of engineers, economists, accountants, mathematicians, and those still undecided. We all share a common passion that binds us together, and that is our strength. We are dreamers and yet we are pragmatists- we are artists but simultaneously results-oriented engineers. These qualities are reflected in our design process, where the cold, hard numbers and specifications meet with the human element- the aesthetic. One can design a system or device to solve a problem, or even conceive a process to do so, but there is a point where elegance and simplicity turn engineering into high art. There are solutions, there are good solutions, and there are great solutions. The great ones create memorable achievements- achievements we hope to show the world come the summer of 2007 in Michigan.
