Katie Kalenda currently leads the Childrens Miracle Network
team at Texas Children's Hospital. Working with national
sponsors at the local level and recruiting new, local
sponsors allows Katie and her team to educate the greater
Houston community about pediatric health issues. It also
allows them to educate the community on how donations help
address those issues.

Prior to joining Texas Childrens in 2005, Katie managed
Cleveland-Ripley Community Center for Neighborhood Centers
Inc. She has also worked in student development for the
University of Houston and in fundraising for the United Way
of the Texas Gulf Coast. Katie received her Bachelors and
Masters degrees from the University of Houston in 1995 and
1999, respectively, and is an active member of the Houston
Alumni Organization. Other affiliations include the
Association of Fundraising Professionals and the American
Marketing Association.
