Elizabeth Killinger

President of Reliant and NRG Texas Retail

Elizabeth KillingerAs president of Reliant and NRG Texas Retail, Killinger is responsible for leading all aspects of Reliant’s retail business. The company provides electricity, energy services and smart energy solutions to more than 1.5 million retail customers including homes, manufacturing facilities, government entities and institutions.
 
Killinger was named President of Reliant in October 2012. She joined Reliant in May 2002 after two years in consulting roles across the company’s wholesale and retail businesses. She led several projects that prepared the retail business for the opening of the competitive market in Texas. During Elizabeth’s ten years at the company she strengthened Reliant’s commitment to offering best-in-class operations performance, has been instrumental in the company’s retail and commercial and industrial expansion outside of Texas. She has also overseen the development of new product lines and businesses.
 
Before joining Reliant, Killinger spent ten years with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting delivering management and information technology services to businesses across the United States, Norway and London. She also spent two years providing operations support in the oilfield services industry.
 
Killinger serves on the Greater Houston Partnership Executive Committee and Executive Women’s Partnership and on the board of directors for both the March of Dimes Houston Chapter and the Center for Hearing and Speech. In addition, she also serves as chairman of the school board for Epiphany Lutheran School in Houston, and as a mentor for Newspring Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Business Nurturing. She holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston.
