Monica Thompson was appointed the Executive Director of UCS on July 7, 2014. She joins the University of Houston from The University of Texas at Austin, where she was the Assistant Director of Internal Operations and Student Services, as well as Career Course Manager and BA 101 Lecturer for BBA Career Services, at the McCombs School of Business.
Thompson’s career spans over 20 years in higher education, recruiting, and human resources. While at UT, Thompson utilized comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of organizational design, change management, project management, team development, leadership development, talent management and instructional design to contribute to the overall management and leadership of the McCombs BBA Career Services center. She is passionate about developing today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders while delivering operational excellence as the Executive Director of University Career Services at the University of Houston. “I cultivated professional development opportunities for 4,500 undergraduate business students annually at UT-Austin’s business career services, ranked second in the nation,” said Thompson. “I am excited to join the University of Houston at the most exciting time to be in Houston. Alumni Career Services Assistant Director
Mr. Mable oversees the offering of Alumni Services for University Career Services. He partners with the UH Alumni Association by providing career development and assistance to recent graduates and alumni.
Mr. Mable brings specialized expertise to the University of Houston, connecting alumni with employers, counseling/coaching/advising students/alumni on the current job market and employer expectations by offering the following services and more; resume critiques, mock interviews, internship preparation, career assessments, graduate school preparation and selection, and job search assistance. He also assists with the planning and organizing of various career events/workshops with employers.
Mr. Mable holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Master Degree of Education from Sam Houston State University. He has a number of years assisting students and alumni with employment at local institutions in the Houston area including the Lone Star College System.
Mr. Mable also provides career development for the following colleges; Honors College, The Law Center, and the College of Technology.

Senior Career Counselor
Becky provides career counseling to students in the Colleges of Architecture and Hotel & Restaurant Management. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University- San Marcos. Becky can work with you on resume development, job search strategies, cover letter writing, interview techniques, graduate school preparation and application, and finding an internship. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Becky has worked with college students for over 12 years and is passionate about helping students discover and achieve their career goals. She is also the Coordinator of the UCS Ambassadors program.
Priyanka has close to 7 years of experience providing career counseling to students from all majors. She holds graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. Priyanka is the liaison to College of Education, Graduate School of Social Work, and College of Engineering. She can assist by reviewing resumes, discussing internship and job search strategies, conducting mock interviews, guiding graduate school application process, and resolving any other career related questions or concerns. Priyanka is also the co- career counselor for Pre-Med students and enjoys working with international students.
Tiffany serves as the Career Counseling liaison for the Colleges of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Optometry, and Pharmacy at the University of Houston. She also supports all students interested in entering the health professions (medicine, optometry, pharmacy, etc.), as well as the Center for Fraternity & Sorority life in the areas of major/career exploration, job/internship search strategies, resume writing techniques and graduate school planning.
Tiffany’s diverse higher education experience includes cultivating partnerships as well as providing student support services to traditional and non-traditional students since 2004. Tiffany is passionate about student success and holds both a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Student Development in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach.
Andrew provides career counseling to students and alumni in the College Liberal Arts and Social Science. Andrew is also the co-counselor for those students interested in Pre-Law. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education in Counseling from University of Houston. Andrew helps students with a variety of career and professional development concerns ranging from choosing a major and career, finding an internship or research opportunity, job search strategies, resume and CV development, interview techniques, and graduate school preparation. Andrew has a passion for CLASS and will help UH students leverage their liberal arts degree!Andrew meets with students within the following majors and special minor programs:

She holds a master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Louisiana State University and is a Certified Professional Career Coach.

Employer Development and Relations is the coordination of corporate visits for the purpose of providing interview opportunities between employers from a wide variety of industries and the diverse UH student and alumni population. Lauren L. Moore
Employer Relations Coordinator
As Employer Relations Coordinator, Lauren serves as the primary point of contact for employers, and helps guide employers through the recruiting process. She is creating awareness among corporate and community organizations as to the benefits of hiring U of H students and graduates, and of the services of UCS. Contact Lauren to schedule a free consultation on marketing your organization to students, increasing campus visibility, and identifying the appropriate services to meet your hiring needs. Lauren has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Recruitment Services and Outreach Coordinator
Brandon Cubina has been appointed as the Recruitment Services and Outreach Coordinator for University Career Services and serves on the Employer Development and Relations team. Brandon provides direct support for students, alumni, and employers to participate in UCS programs and services.
He manages On-Campus Recruiting through Cougar Pathway, UCS’s web-based system for job postings, On-Campus Recruiting, and career fairs. Brandon assists with employer outreach in creating employment opportunities by planning and organizing various career events for students, alumni, and employers.
He received a B.B.A. in Management, Human Resources track, and a minor in Marketing from the University of Houston. He has a number of years engaging students with at the University of Houston while involved in HBSA (Hispanic Business Student Association), Men’s Club Volleyball, and HR Houston Human Resource Management Association.

Student Employment Services
Student Employment Coordinator
As Student Employment Coordinator, Jazel assists on-campus departments in posting opportunities for UH students. Jazel is the liaison to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid for the College Work-Study Program. She helps departments and approved off-campus employers to post work study opportunities. Students or faculty/staff/employers who need assistance with on-campus positions or work-study postings can also contact Jazel for assistance. She may also assist students with locating or submitting resumes/applications to job opportunities posted on the career website.
Mona Davis serves as the Office Coordinator. In her role, she provides oversight to the front desk and back office operations. She is responsible for the supervision of the student employees, and is available to provide organizational support for Career Counselor Staff. She provides direct support to the executive director and the student employment coordinator, while supporting the posting of new employment opportunities and serving as the department’s social media coordinator.
