What is CreationStation?
The students and staff at CreationStation make up a small family mosaic that is proficient, collaborative and diverse. The crew at our facility has backgrounds that stretch from around the globe. As a team, we work in an extremely fun, positive and inspired environment that keeps creativity flowing CreationStation has developed and changed with the times from a hands-on art shop into a Graphic Design studio aimed towards a wide range of styles with a contemporary feel. We spend our time creating and designing dynamic ideas, but also provide a variety of services including printing, dry mounting, laminating, buttons, balloons, faxing, and passport pictures. At CreationStation, we aim to have our clients leave feeling enthusiastic, satisfied, and ready to come back, Good design, service, and quality are essential to experience "creativity at work."
Alicia Garcia Valero
Alicia began working at UH in 1992. She possesses a certification in Architectural Drafting from Venezuela and a certification in Desktop Publishing from HCC. Currently, she is the coordinator of UCCS and is responsible for providing a variety of services, including graphic and printing services, coordinating student-oriented sponsored sales and developing marketing strategies for CreationStation.
Senior Graphic Designer
Julian received a BFA in Communication Design from the University of North Texas, and brings over 13 years of graphic design and advertising art direction experience to Creation Station. He joined CreationStation in 2013. In his free time, Julian enjoys art, design, games, and geekery.
Kevin is majoring in Art and minoring in Marketing at UH. He has joined the UCCS family in 2011. He loves painting, coffee, and playing the guitar.
Ashton is majoring in Graphic Communications with a minor in Computer Applications Technology. He joined the UCCS family in 2012. He enjoys music, t-shirt making, KTT, and Urban Outfitters.
Sarah "La Guapa" Salazar joined the team in the fall of 2013, while studying graphic communication in the school of fine arts. She aspires to be a designer in the sports industry. Her hobbies include basketball, purses and Katy Perry.
Sophia currently majors in Graphic Communication. She became part of the team in the summer of 2013. In her spare time, she enjoys indie music, bike riding, weekend trips to Paris, and Tumblr.
