The University Center, the heart of student activity, offers a variety of useful products, services and opportunities to meet and connect with other people.

Once at the University Center, located just inside Entrance 1, students have access to dining facilities, clean, comfortable lounges for studying, visiting and watching television and meeting rooms for conducting organization meetings, social events and educational programs. The Cougar 1Card office issues all official University of Houston identification cards. But the Cougar 1Card is much more than an ID. It's also a debit card, (not a credit card). Use it to buy books, meals, pay for laundry service in the residence halls, buy snacks, for access to buildings, to activate library privileges, and buy tickets to UH athletic events!
