UCPB Student At-Large Member Application

The University Center Policy Board (UCPB) is searching for two (2) students to serve as at-large members. There are two (2) positions available for a two-year term (Fall 2013 to Spring 2015). Any UH student is eligible to apply with the exception of current student employees of the University Centers. The fifteen (15) member board includes students, faculty and staff.

The UCPB assists in policy development and long-range planning for the University Center and the UC Satellite. The UCPB also advises the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs – Student Life on programs and services for the UH community. Annual projects of the UCPB include review of the University Center and UC Satellite operating policies and facilities use policies and procedures. The UCPB reviews and provides input to the Assistant Vice President for Student Development on many proposed changes, additions and improvements/renovations to any and all areas of the facilities. Over the past few years, the UCPB has been involved with food service renovations, eliminating smoking in the UC Arbor, and most recently played a significant role in support and guidance for the UC Transformation Project.

The board meets monthly for approximately two (2) hours. The first meeting of the 2013-2014 UCPB will occur in August.
