Jason Bergeron

Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life


Jason serves as the Director of the Center for Fraternity & Sorority life. In this role, he is responsible for the overall coordination and development of programs and initiatives designed to promote meaningful learning experiences for students through leadership education and fraternity/sorority involvement.

Jason originally hails from Ohio where he earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering and French at Ohio Northern University and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration at Kent State University. Prior to coming to the University of Houston in 2009, Jason came from Michigan Technological University where he worked in student leadership programs and fraternity/sorority life. Jason is passionate about strategies for assessing student learning, and believes that personal and organizational values development is a critical piece of a meaningful involvement experience.

Cassandra Joseph

Activities Coordinator II

Cassandra advises the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Latin Greek Council, and Multicultural Greek Council. Cassandra received her B.A. in English and Speech Communication from Sam Houston State University and her M.S. from Texas A&M University in Educational Administration where she gained experience in Residence Life, Judicial Affairs, Campus Activities, and Fraternity/Sorority Life. At UH, Cassandra has served as the Advisor to Order of Omega Honor Society, Student Program Board, Houston Panhellenic Council, and the Metropolitan Volunteer Program. Before joining the University of Houston team in May 2005, she worked at Texas State University-San Marcos, where she worked as a Residential College Hall Director, a University Seminar and COUN 4378 Instructor and assisted with student organizations as a Co-Advisor to Black Women United and the Residence Hall Association.

In addition to Cassandra’s advising responsibilities, in the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life, Cassandra serves as the supervisor for the front desk operations for the Center.

Cassandra loves the diversity of the student population and enjoys working with the different personalities of the student leaders in the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life.

Megan Francis

Greek Housing Coordinator
Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life

Megan is the Greek Housing Coordinator.  In this role is she assists chapter with the management of their townhomes at Bayou Oaks as well as advises the Houston Panhellenic Council.  Megan has a Master of Education in Higher Education as well a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.  Originally from Memphis, TN, Megan grew up playing golf and attending college football games with her family.  She still enjoys these two things today.  Professionally, Megan is  a member of the Association of Fraternity Advisors (AFA) and Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA).  In 2011 she was recognized by NASPA Region IV-West as a Rising Star in the profession.

Courtney Reynolds

Courtney Reynolds, the Instructional Assistant for Leadership Development, serves as the Instructional Assistant for Leadership Programs in the Center for Fraternity & Sorority life. She is Enthusiastic about the opportunity to help coordinate, plan and facilitate informational and enjoyable leadership development program for UH students.

Courtney comes to UH from Houston, Texas. She is proud of being born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Austin College a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Religious Studies. She has extensive experience in Greek Life, Leadership and Community Service Outreach.

She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Social Work and expects to graduate in Spring 2013. Additionally, she loves to cook, read and watch copious amounts of TV/movies.
