You simply need to enroll in the either PEB 1101 (Fitness and Health) or KIN 1304 (Public Health Issues in Physical Activity and Obesity). You will receive academic credit for your participation in the study. You have the option to take either the 3-hour version of the course (KIN 1304), which counts toward your non-writing intensive social sciences requirement and involves weekly online lectures and quizzes, plus in-class workouts and physical fitness exams, or the 1-hour version (PEB 1101), which only involves the in-class 3 day/week workouts and physical fitness exams. It’s your choice! All workouts will take place in the University Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. For more information on either course, please contact the TIGER study staff by phone at 713-743-9935, by email at tigerstudy@bcm.edu, or in person by stopping by Room 105-P in the Garrison Gym building.
