There was an Honors and Academic Information Session, as well as a Campus Life and Student Affairs Info Session which gave 2013 scholars insight on the benefits of the Tier One scholarship, The Honors College, and the convenience of campus life.

The Donor Reception and Tier One Showcase took place simultaneously before dinner. This gave scholars an opportunity to meet and mingle with the givers who make their education at the University of Houston possible. Current scholars who participated in research and/or study abroad used the Tier One Showcase to share their experiences with incoming scholars, parents, and donors.
