About Me

I am a pretty relaxed guy, ready to have a busy four years. I am excited to delve into the field of petroleum engineering in a university environment tailored for success. I look forward to playing trumpet in the band, and piano in my free time. I have a strong desire to be successful and travel to all over the world in my lifetime. The University of Houston, the Cullen College of Engineering, and the Honors College have provided me with the means to achieve my dreams. I am ready to get an exceptional education that will set me up for success, and have good time in the process.

Campus and Community Involvement

I am a proud member of the trumpet section of the Spirit of Houston marching band.

Awards and Honors

In addition to the Tier One Scholarship, I also received the National Merit Scholarship. In high school I was the salutatorian of the class of 2013 of Clear Brook High School, a member of National Honor Society, and a four year Superintendent’s Scholar. I was a recipient of the United States Marine Corps Outstanding Scholar award, the Faculty Medallion, and the City of Friendswood Outstanding Student award.

Study Abroad

I would like to have a study abroad experience somewhere in Europe. I do not know when and where yet, but it is definitely one of my future ambitions.

Research

I am not sure what I am interested in researching within my field yet. I plan to delve deeper into research opportunities as I learn more about my chosen field and find what aspect especially interests me.

Future Endeavors

I plan to work for an oil and gas company as a petroleum engineer. I also hope to be able to work abroad for a few years while doing that.
