About Me

I am a student studying at the University of Houston and am pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. During my free time, I love to tutor students in math and reading. I have gone to Taiwan to teach English to children and they have motivated me to work harder so that I can help others. I also enjoy playing piano and tennis.

Campus and Community Involvement

Currently, I am the President of the Chinese Student Association (CSA) and am a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). I volunteer with these organizations throughout the school year. I am currently continuing to tutor K-12 students in math and reading.

Awards and Honors

In high school, I graduated in the top 3% as an AP Scholar. Other than receiving the Tier One Scholarship, I have also received the Honors College Scholarship and the Academic Excellence Scholarship.

Study Abroad

I have not taken any language courses in college, but I am fluent in Chinese. I am interested in studying abroad in China or Taiwan. I hope that the opportunity to study abroad will give me a chance to expand my knowledge of both the Chinese culture and language.

Research

I am interested in chemical engineering research. I would like to gain first-hand experience and explore the various topics of research involving my major.

Future Endeavors

I am currently exploring my options, but in the future I want to continue my education in graduate school. I hope to incorporate my knowledge as a chemical engineer in the medical field.
