About Me

I have always been inspired by my parents to work hard for whatever I want. It also doesn’t hurt that I have a very competitive personality! I love being involved in sports, student government, and organizations that better my community. I love keeping myself busy by always challenging myself, whether it be academically, socially, or physicall.

Campus and Community Involvement

In high school, I was involved in many organizations, while still striving for academic success. I was a captain of our varsity girls soccer team, a member of the cross country team, and a student council officer. In my school’s student council, I was the DASH (Drugs, Alcohol, Safety, and Health) chairman, so I was responsible for developing projects that encouraged my peers to be drug-free and healthy. I have spent the past two years working at Six Flags Over Texas, and through my department at work I spent many hours volunteering at Mission Arlington, a local charity.

Awards and Honors

My senior year in high school I was given an award for receiving All-A’s in all classes since elementary school. I also received awards for excellence in Math, Student Council, and Soccer. I received a scholarship from the Grand Prairie Education foundation for my service to my school and community. I will begin at the University of Houston this fall and hope to achieve more awards and honors.

Study Abroad

I have taken Spanish in high school. I would love to study abroad in Europe or South America. The opportunity to study abroad would be an incredible experience!

I plan to research in the fields of bio-mechanics and human growth and development.

Future Endeavors

After I receive my undergraduate degree I plan on pursuing a PhD in physical therapy.
