About Me

I play the violin and am very involved in my church ministry. I am loving the Honors Engineering Program. My professors in the Honors College inspire me to work harder and learn more, and they push me to keep expanding my mind. In my free time, I like to knit scarves and write poems on my blog.

Campus and Community Involvement

I participate in the University Symphony Orchestra and I am an active member in the Alpha Omega Christian Campus Ministry.

Awards and Honors

I am a National AP Scholar, National Merit Commended, I graduated Summa Cum Laude, and was a member of the National Honors Society. I have participated in the TMEA Region Orchestra since 2004, and performed as Concertmistress in fall 2010. I won a chair in the 2009 TMEA All-State Philharmonic Orchestra, and served as an Orchestra Officer from 2007-2011. Alongside the Tier One Scholarship, I received the Temple Endowed Leadership Scholarship.

Study Abroad

I would like to study abroad in Europe or Australia. I am most interested in the cultural immersion of study abroad programs, and broadening my worldview.


I am interested in environmental and medical research, possibly pertaining to energy conservation, recycling processes. As for research in the medical field, I am interested in researching currently incurable diseases.

Future Endeavors

I plan to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD.
