Campus and Community InvolvementI am currently volunteering at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, the Phap Luan Buddhist Cultural Center, and Lien Hoa Temple when I have free time. I enjoy practicing martial arts of all kinds. I have had previous experience in Wushu and I am currently training in American Taekwondo and Karate. In addition, I am also involved with lion dancing at the Phap Luan Buddhist Cultural Center. I am an active member of one of the many Vietnamese American Boy Scout groups in the nation and currently president of the venturing scout crew. Awards and HonorsOne of the highest awards I have earned is the rank of Eagle Scout while participating in the Boy Scouts of America program. In addition, I have earned several area and state awards for CPR and First Aid competition in my high school career while in the Health Occupational Students of America organization. Study AbroadI am interested in studying abroad in Australia because I have close family members living over there and have heard so many interesting stories about the culture over there. ResearchI am very interested in research that further advances our current technology. Something about technology and electronics has always attracted me. What I really want to see is true biotechnology, where gadgets and gizmos are able to increase the potential and effectiveness of the human body. Future EndeavorsAfter I receive my bachelor of science, I plan on continuing on to pharmacy school in hopes of earning a doctorate of pharmacy. I am interested in entering into the research side of pharmacy after pharmacy school. |
