About Me

My name is Mustafa Karagoli. I am very grateful to be a recipient of the Tier One Scholarship grant. My interests include listening to classical music, reading a book, and pursuing many other cultural endeavors. I am motivated by a passion for learning about the world, humans, and science.

Campus and Community Involvement

I enjoy a wide variety of activities and interests. I performed, conducted, and composed orchestral music throughout my high school career, as one of my greatest passions is classical music. On campus, I have joined a few organizations, including Pre-Med Society as well the American Chemical Society to foster my interest in science. In High School, I was an officer in Biology Club, the Muslim Student Association, and the Orchestra. In the future, I hope to be an active leader in many organizations and positively contribute to the University.

Awards and Honors

In High School, I received many honors and awards, including 4 consecutive years on the Honor Roll, Distinguished AP Scholar, and Top Musician in my High School Orchestra. In the future, I hope to continue this tradition while at the University.

Study Abroad

I have a great interest in learning about other cultures and languages. I am fluent in Arabic and I am very familiar with the culture and language. I hope to study abroad in places like Japan, China, and France to fully immerse myself in the culture. I would thoroughly enjoy visiting those places to nurture my interest for other cultures.

Research

Any research concerning human anatomy interests me a great deal. I think my research project will concern humans, anatomy, and human health, as that is one of passions. I hope to pursue these endeavors throughout my academic career, including my undergraduate career at the University of Houston.

Future Endeavors

In the future, I hope to pursue a career in Medicine as a physician. I hope to use the knowledge that the University of Houston has provided me with and enter medical school to earn an MD. Though I do not know which specialty I hope to enter, I do know that I want to volunteer my knowledge and skill to positively impact society and its health, which includes joining doctor’s volunteer organizations and so forth.
