About Me

I started my college career as a business major but switched to geology after freshman year. I intend to add a geophysics minor or even major this coming school year.

Campus and Community Involvement

I’m active in UH GeoSociety, and was elected to serve as our 2013-2014 Treasurer.

Awards and Honors

  • Marathon Oil for Margaret Bishop Outstanding Sophomore Award
  • National Merit Scholarship
  • Leonard Rauch Scholarship
  • Study Abroad

I was able to participate in the Honors College Summer 2012 trip Amsterdam, Berlin, and Prague. It was my first time out of the country and an amazing experience, made possible by the Tier One study abroad benefit.

    Research

Currently seeking opportunities to participate in geoscience research.

    Future Endeavors

My current plan is to continue straight to a MS program after graduating, then work in either the oil or mining industry. I am considering attempting to finish undergrad early, or maybe completing a Senior Honors Thesis.
