Ron currently is the Houston area Human Resources Manager for Oil States Industries. Having more than 15 years of human resources experience, Ron currently has a staff of 3 and oversees HR activities for over 400 employees. His varied experience includes developing compensation systems for recruiting and retention, negotiating union contracts, writing personnel and safety manuals, mergers and acquisitions, governmental compliance and employment law. In 2000, Ron earned his certification as an SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and earned his CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation in 2002. He has taught the SHRM Learning System several times in the recent past. Ron holds a BBA from the University of Houston.
Donna Howard, SPHR

Donna Howard is the Lead People Consultant for one of the largest areas of Ernst & Young, Americas. She has over twenty years experience, with expertise in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, developing quality employee incentive and benefit programs and improving performance measures. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, she was Vice President of Global Human Resources for Mannatech. She has also served as Vice President for Procorp Associates, a consulting firm. In addition, she has been Vice President, Human Resources for ACE America's Cash Express, Inc., and Brink's Home Security, Inc. Her responsibilities have included training, executive compensation, and employee development programs. She is an adjunct professor at Houston Baptist University. Donna has served as Executive Director of the HRSouthwest Conference and President of the Dallas HR Management Association. Ms. Howard received her MBA in Human Resources from the University of Texas at Arlington and her BBA in Finance from Texas Christian University.
Dr. William W. Ishee, SPHR
Klein Independent School District
Bill currently serves as the Associate Superintendent for Human Resources in the Klein Independent School District. He supervises an HR staff of four directors, an assistant director and fifteen support staff members. Bill holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston, master's degree in counseling from Sam Houston State, doctorate from Texas A&M with an area of specialization in arbitration and labor negotiations, and an MBA in management from Our Lady of the Lake University. He is also a trained mediator. In addition to his duties in HR, he is an adjunct professor for OLLU for management and HR related courses. With 29 years of experience in human resources, he has dealt with virtually every HR issue ranging from compensation to contract administration, from recruitment and retention, to benefits, safety and employment law.
Courtney Carey, MBA, SPHR

Courtney has more than 10 years of demonstrated success in Human Resources with her experience focused in health care over the last 6 years. She is currently with St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System and was previously with Texas Children's Hospital. Courtney has provided HR/OD support for key organizational initiatives including onboarding program development, performance management, new system implementations, acquisitions, and opening new facilities as a part of a major expansion campaign. Courtney has a passion for developing leaders and staff and is also experienced in coaching, training facilitation, curriculum development and design, change management and project management. She is currently serving as the Interim Director of Human Resources for St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Courtney is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. She is currently SPHR certified and holds a variety of other HR related certifications as well.
