Logistics and Supply Chain Technology
Description
The Department of Information and Logistics Technology (ILT) at the University of Houston invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor teaching in the area of global supply chain management, logistics technology, and transportation beginning spring 2013. Preference will be given to individual at the level of Assistant Professor. However, more senior applicants may apply.
Requirements
Applications should have an earned doctorate in the field and basic business skills. Applicants should exhibit demonstrative knowledge, skills, practices and experience in global supply chain management, logistics processes, and metrics, and transportation operations. The successful candidate is expected to develop a competitive research program and participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching. They should participate in the recruitment of students and growth of the Supply Chain Technology program. The ability to obtain external funding is highly desirable.
The Department is experiencing strong growth and expects this trend to continue. The growing industry demand for our Supply Chain and Logistics Technology graduates validates the Supply Chain program content and identifies additional growth areas.
