Description

The Department of Information and Logistics Technology (ILT) at the University of Houston invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor beginning Spring 2013.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Master’s degree or higher in a field related to the Digital Media program*. Applicants should exhibit competence in teaching as well as demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in two or more of the following specialties within Digital Media: computer graphics, animation, photography, videography, packaging, web design, eCommerce, or ePublishing. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in one or more of these specialties, participate in professional growth and development opportunities, make presentations to local, national and international groups, and provide service to the community. The successful candidate will also participate in the recruitment of students and growth of the Digital Media program.

The Department is experiencing strong growth and expects this trend to continue. The growing demand for our courses validates the Digital Media program content and identifies additional growth areas. More information about the Department can be found at tech.uh.edu/ilt.
