Department of Construction Management at the University of Houston is seeking applicants for a Tenure-Track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The anticipated start date of this position is September 1, 2014 depending on the successful candidate’s availability.
Department of Construction Management at The University of Houston has experienced steady growth in student enrollment and research funds. Currently, the program is home to over 500 students (450 undergraduates and 60 graduate students). A successful tenure-track candidate must have earned a doctorate degree in construction or construction-related field and must also demonstrate the ability to attract externally funded projects, develop research initiatives, publish research results, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses. All candidates must command excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates with industry experience, especially in Process and Industrial Construction, are encouraged to apply.
Areas of particular interest include: Estimating, Project Controls, Risk Management, Mechanical and Electrical Systems, Sustainability, Structural Design, and Advanced Computer Applications.
