John H. Anderson

Director of Global Real Estate


John AndersonJohn H. Anderson is currently the Director of Global Real Estate for Dresser-Rand. In his current role, Anderson is focused on all real estate acquisitions, dispositions and leases for the company. He leads the efforts when looking for new locations globally for Dresser-Rand service and manufacturing locations. Anderson joined Dresser-Rand in 2013 to develop a new Real Estate Department for the company. This includes developing all new policies, procedures and processes for conducting real estate transactions globally.

In 2012, Anderson joined Phillips 66 to help them develop a new Houston Facilities department after their split from ConocoPhillips. Anderson also helped with the design of the new Phillips 66 Houston headquarters building.

Previously, Anderson was Vice President of Administrative Services for El Paso Corporation for 27 years. The Administrative Services group included; Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Security, Corporate Records, Facility Services, Health and Wellness Medical Office and Office Services. In this role Anderson provided guidance for a wide variety of quality services to meet their business objectives and needs. Anderson also participated as a key member in the El Paso's Ethics Committee.

Anderson's association with El Paso began in 1987 when he was hired as an architectural draftsman for El Paso Natural Gas. While taking advantage of the educational assistance program provided by El Paso, Anderson was able to combine his education and leadership abilities, which enabled him to be promoted various times to include becoming a Vice President in 2001. Anderson was also given the opportunity to run two Asphalt Refineries, which again showed his operational knowledge and leadership.

  • Board of Director Houston Downtown Management District, Houston.
  • Chairman Transportation Committee, Central Houston.

Anderson holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in General Architectural Design and Drafting, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Computer Information Systems, and a Master of Business Administration.
