The official records now show that 3,700 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled in the College. The 20% upsurge since last fall ranks the College among the top five of UH colleges on campus. "The increasing enrollment figures are causing everyone to take notice of our phenomenal growth and the expanding opportunities. No longer regarded as a small college, the overall image of the College of Technology is showing impressive improvement," said Dean William Fitzgibbon. "My expectation is to reach a total enrollment of 6,000 students in years to come, which is very realistic as we continue this pace."
Dean Fitzgibbon's vision for the College of Technology is to be positioned among the best technology colleges in the United States. "Achieving our goals will call for an intense focus on four key areas: academic quality, enrollment, fundraising and research, with student success as the core," he explained.
