The Information Technology Department (I.T.) is responsible for operating and maintaining the technology and assisting faculty and students with its use.
The University Branch Library is a joint-collaboration between the University of Houston System (UHS), Wharton County Junior College, and Fort Bend County. UHS faculty may use the Library's resources for their academic needs.
The campus bookstore is a Barnes & Noble bookstore that faculty may use to request textbooks for classes. The bookstore is located in Brazos Hall suite 147.
Faculty and Staff Lounge/Workroom
The UHSL Faculty and Staff Lounge/Workroom is located in the George Building, on the first floor, in room GB 107. In the lounge is a computer lab, two copy machines, temporary mailboxes and more. Temporary mailboxes are provided each semester to faculty that are teaching a class on site at UHSL and do not have an office at the center.
Due to the limited number of classrooms, it is often difficult to make changes after the semester has begun. Requests for classroom needs and for specific rooms should be made as early as possible to the UHSL Program Manager.
Furniture in classrooms should not be moved. Each classroom is arranged to meet the needs of all scheduled classes. Food and drinks are allowed in general classrooms but are prohibited in all instructional television rooms, in all computer/multimedia labs, and in locations where UHSL wireless laptops are in service. For information on technology available on campus, see the Information Technology Services page for Faculty.
