Be a Part of Positive Change: The Student Center Policy Board Now Accepting Applications

Are you looking for another way to get involved with the Student Center? Now is your chance!

The Student Center Policy Board (SCPB) is searching for two students to serve as at-large members for a 1-year term (Fall 2015-2016) and a 2-year term (Fall 2015-2017). Any UH student is eligible to apply with the exception of current student employees of the Student Centers. The 19-member board includes students, faculty and staff.

The SCPB assists in policy development and long-range planning for the Student Center and the SC Satellite and advises the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs on programs and services. Recently the SCPB has been involved with the New UC Transformation Project, providing computers for the Student Organization carrel area, and securing additional bike racks for the Student Center.

The board meets monthly for approximately 2 hours. The two selected at-large members will attend their first meeting of the 2015-2016 SCPB at the start of the Fall 2015 semester.

Applications will be accepted until 12 (noon) on Friday, May 15, 2015. Questions about the Student Center Policy Board or the application process should be directed to Erica Tat (SCPB Chair) at or Cheryl Grew-Gillen at the Student Centers at 832-842-6260.
