Student Enrollment Task Force

The Student Enrollment Task Force was formed in May of 2014 and is comprised of members of the Office of Strategic Enrollment Planning and Enrollment Services ( Admissions, Scholarships and Financial Aid, and Housing ). The Student Enrollment Task Force responsibilities include i) identifying and monitoring enrollment data for FTIC freshmen, transfer, and continuing student cohorts, ii) identifying registration trends in each of the aforementioned cohorts, iii) identifying and finding solutions to challenges or barriers that students might encounter during the registration process, and iv) ensuring that all registration and enrollment activities have been prepared to ensure an efficient registration process.

Strategic Enrollment Planning Committee

On May 20, 2014, Paula Myrick Short, Ph.D., Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, UH System and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, UH established the first ever university-wide Strategic Enrollment Planning Committee. The charge of the Committee is two-fold. First, the committee provides UH Executive Leadership the optimal profile of the undergraduate as well as the graduate student body given the Tier One Mission and Vision of the University. Second, the committee ensures that recruitment, enrollment and retention strategies align with institution-wide and Collegiate/School academic programs, practices and service delivery at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Student Financial Support Committee

The Student Financial Support Committee (SFSC) was formed in Fall 2014 as the successor to the Financial Aid Committee. The SFSC is comprised of representatives from the Office of the Provost / Strategic Enrollment Planning, the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, and University faculty. The primary responsibilities of the SFSC are i) to ensure that scholarship recipients are meeting the requirements for continued scholarship eligibility, ii) to evaluate and respond to appeals and petitions from current scholarship recipients, iii) to respond to scholarship requests from prospective students, iv) and to monitor endowed scholarships and to oversee the awarding process.
